Description

An experienced Client Operations Manager with at least 5 years of experience is needed to join our team at bigspark on a remote (work-from-home) basis.

We are a leading UK-based consultancy delivering next-level data platforms and solutions with a focuson exciting technologies, including Apache Spark and Apache Kafka.


The role will report to the Head of Delivery and will lead and manage all of bigspark's client operations activities, ensuring continued levels of delivery excellence at all times.

About Us


We provide the backbone for modern analytics to our clients through expertise in DevOps, distributed computing, machine learning and the adoption of proven open-source projects.

We specialise in backend development, infrastructure automation and performanceengineering for data workloads at scale.


Required Experience:


  • Minimum 5 years experience within a senior operational management role, preferably in a SME environment
  • Deep technical knowledge not essential, however you may have worked for a technology company or a professional services consultancy
  • Understanding of project management principles including planning, risk management and communications within agile and waterfall projects
  • Proven experience with senior client stakeholder management as well as internal and external partners
  • Experience managing Statements of Work including familiarity with managing project budgets and planning resource allocation
  • Must have excellent organisational skills, first class communication skills and the ability to manage multiple and sometimes conflicting deadlines to support the business within a fastpaced environment
  • Ability to maintain a high level of collaboration, motivation and engagement with clients and team members

  • IT skills

  • Google Workspace, Microsoft Office, Workforce management/Services procurement platforms, Xero (an advantage)

Key Responsibilities:


  • Management of all of bigspark's client operations activity, including building and managing a team in line with future company scale
  • Contribution to the creation of project delivery plans
  • Coordination of project resourcing and consultant management
  • Organise and attend client project meetings (typically remotely) where needed
  • Management of endtoend Statement of Work process
  • Actively monitor and manage existing SoW renewals and identify further opportunities
  • Document, track and maintain project information in project management tool
  • Liaison with Finance to monitor projects, reporting on progress, budget, forecasts
  • Support consultants with timesheet booking / client billables
  • Assist Finance with invoicing process
  • Liaise with People ops team to ensure compliance to client specific screening standards
