Current Team Size: 5

We're a small, remote team working across multiple time-zones.

There is a high degree of flexibility built into the role, and you are free to define your own schedule.


You'll be working closely with our creative director, programmers and designer to produce production ready 3D character models for animators and eventual integration into the Unity game engine.

You are someone who takes pride in your work and holds yourself to a higher standard than most. You welcome constructive feedback, thrive in a self-directed environment and are comfortable wearing many hats.


Responsibilities:


  • Work from and assist with the development of 3D character modelling briefs.
  • Creation of highquality, optimised, production ready 3D character models.
  • Creation of optimised textures for said character models.
  • Weight painting, rigging and assisting animators in developing and maintaining a 3D character development pipeline.
  • Weigh in on other areas of development, such as design, narrative and audio. As a small team, we like to ensure every team member is involved in the creative decisionmaking process.

Requirements:


  • A strong portfolio that shows your full range of creative and technical abilities ideally including stylised work.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills fluent in English.
  • A strong sense of independence and autonomy.
  • Creatively minded, and detailoriented.
  • Ability to collaborate well, and stay sensitive to the needs of the team.
  • Highly motivated and adaptable, comfortable working across a variety of contexts.
  • Comfortable adapting to the mínimalist visual style of our internal projects.
  • Proficient in 3D software such as Blender, Maya or 3ds Max whichever works best for you.
  • Experience modelling and rigging 3D characters for animation.
  • Proficient in 2D software such as Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator.
  • Experience delivering assets to detailed specifications, for web or print.

  • Experience with implementing gameready assets in the Unity game engine.
  • Have contributed toward a number of released titles on any modern platform.

Additional Information:


As this is a contract position, we are open to a number of possibilities in terms of how you manage your hours with us each week, as well as how you structure your time on the project.

While the initial contract term is 4 weeks, we expect there will be ongoing 3D character modelling, rigging, weight painting and texturing work for the duration of this project.

We envision this initial contract will likely evolve into a longer term collaboration.
