£28,000 - £33,000 (Dependent on experience)

The Background and Role

  • An innovative organisation in a specialist Defence related industry is looking for an enthusiastic Technical Engineering Assistant, working directly with the Technical & Engineering Director to support our team.
  • As a Technical Assistant, you will be required to perform basic administrative tasks to support the Director and you will also be required to provide basic technical assistance such as the setting up and cleaning of equipment, overseeing processes etc.
  • To ensure success as a technical assistant, you should have highlevel administrative skills, technical and engineering training, and the ability to work in a highpressure environment
The Person

  • A strong background in Engineering is essential.
  • They will be flexible, adaptable to a range of working methods and processes, be well organised, good at problem solving, able to communicate technical and practical concepts and be a team player with the ability to work and communicate confidently and effectively with Senior Management.
  • Act as a key the key interface between the engineering, design and manufacturing teams on behalf of the Technical and Engineering Director and on any projects allocated by the Director. Liaise with and coordinate staff on a daily basis, allocating work as instructed by the Director.
  • Experience:
Preferably 5+ years in an Engineering/Mechanical/Design/Project/Manufacturing Environment.
