Description

Duties of the HR Generalist will include:

  • Managing the end-to-end employee life cycle including onboarding and orientation for new joiners and off-boarding for leavers and transfers, and right-to-work checks
  • Advising on and assisting with parental leave administration
  • Monitoring and assisting with the action of key dates (contract expiry dates, probation completion, reviews, PIP)
  • Managing the production and distribution of monthly data reports, including logs and movement sheets
  • Maintaining personnel files and tracking absences (holiday, TOIL, sickness) via the firm's HR software, HR Toolkit
  • Managing the administration of all health and welfare benefits
  • Managing employee relations, including first line grievance and disciplinary procedures
  • In collaboration with the Director of International Office Administration, managing the Secretarial team
  • Conducting supportstaff evaluations with relevant managers
  • Assisting with yearend salary and bonus administration
  • Providing guidance to staff on firmwide policies and best practice
  • Managing the recruitment process fully by working with relevant manages to draft or revise
job descriptions, engages appropriate agencies, screens CVs, schedules and conducts interviews

  • Maintaining strong working relationships with recruitment agencies, ensuring competitive rates/terms
  • Testing, screening and conducting firstround interviews for all secretarial and support staff roles
  • Ensuring all appropriate prehire procedures are followed (i.e. conflict checks, reference requests and background checks)
  • Ensuring compliance with GDPR and the SRA, including maintaining CLE credits for lawyers
  • Reviewing London intranet content
  • Assisting with wellbeing, social and charitable events and initiatives
