The role
The purpose of the role is to ensure effective delivery of the actions deriving from Fire Risk Assessment across the Regenda Groups portfolio.
We are seeking a customer focused Fire Safety Officer who will play a key role in ensuring our homes continue to be safe from fire and up to standard.
You will ensure works undertaken to the Groups properties are undertaken to good standard and are free from significant risks of fire.
You will ensure that all statutory consumer standards are delivered with regards to fire safety, fire and building safety legislation and fire risk assessments that are required for the Regenda Group Working as part of the Building Safety team and wider Asset department.
The Fire Safety Officer will play a pivotal role in supporting and providing guidance and assistance to the building safety Manager in the management of fire safety across the Groups portfolio of properties.
The right fit
- You will have a comprehensive understanding of fire safety legislation and guidance, in particular those relevant to social housing.
- You will be discharging all fire risk assessment actions using our inhouse systems, to the appropriate person and be able to use fire safety guidance to mitigate risk where applicable.
- You will schedule and attend site familiarisation visits to assess risk whilst engaging with housing officers/scheme managers across the group.
- You will schedule and commission suitable and sufficient post work inspections in line with Regenda fire safety policy.
- You will monitor contractor performance engaging in regular meetings following post inspections developing processes and procedures where necessary.
- You will develop and deliver appropriate fire safety training to relevant persons across the Regenda group.
- You will provide technical knowledge and support to the immediate team and wider group including our customers.
- A selfstarter being able to manage your own workload and working to tight deadlines with limited guidance/instruction.
- You must be able to assist the building safety manager in the conducting of desktop reviews of fire risk assessments.
- You will undertake relevant continuous professional development and a willingness to undertake additional courses to stay competent within the role.
