The Trust's Training Department provides a wide variety of activities and programmes covering the five key themes of Essential Training, Skills for Work & Life, Therapeutic Skills, Recovery and Leadership and Management Development.

The Department is split across two sites - Duncan Macmillan House, Mapperley and The Mike Harris Centre, Rampton Hospital.

This role requires the individual to have excellent administration skills including IT/audio visual, customer service and reception experience. The post-holder will also take shared responsibility for the administration of the shared mailboxes within the Training Department. Whilst the role is based at Duncan Macmillan House there may be some requirement to travel to other sites.

  • To provide a comprehensive coordination service for training courses and admin support to the Training department
  • To set up, record and maintain training records on the relevant information systems
  • To undertake general filing and photocopying duties
  • To provide a front of house/reception service for the department
  • To prepare for training activities i.e. setting up the training rooms

If this is you, the People and Culture Directorate is seeking to recruit a driven and enthusiastic individual to become part of the Training Admin Team.


The post offers an exciting opportunity to build on and develop your administration skills by working within a team who is responsible for providing a comprehensive training support and administration service to the Trust.

The post holder will be a key member of a small team and will report to the Training Coordinator.


The post requires excellent organisational skills, and the ideal post holder should be adaptable and flexible, ideally with experience of working in a busy team.

They should be able to work well as part of a team as well at autonomously and be able to prioritise their own workload.


Applicants should have a good standard of English and Mathematics and hold an NVQ Business Administration Level 2 qualification or have relevant experience.

They will have an understanding of dealing with confidential information and be experienced in data processing, using IT and audio-visual equipment and using Microsoft packages.

Person Specification


Qualifications:

Essential criteria

  • GCSE qualifications or equivalent
  • Knowledge of a full range of Business & Administration procedures acquired through NVQ Level 2 or equivalent experience
  • Typing/word processing qualification to RSA/OCR II standard or equivalent skill level
Experience

Essential criteria

  • Experience of working in an office environment
  • Experience of using Microsoft Office software e.g. Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, Word etc
  • Able to use own initiative within agreed protocols
  • Ability to work as an effective team member
  • Excellent interpers
