ROLE OF DEPARTMENT

  • Managing inbound and outbound calls, and online enquiries from new and existing clients of Aberdein Considine, who require whole of market mortgage advice
  • Qualifying clients by gathering relevant information to be able to assess clients' ability to secure a mortgage and book clients in for an appointment with an adviser
  • Nurture clients who are the initial stages of their mortgage journey and manage through to an appointment with an adviser

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Handling all inbound mortgage and protection related enquiries
  • Qualifying mortgage and protection appointments
  • Generating mortgage appointments from outbound calls to existing clients
  • Liaising with key stakeholders in the business, including mortgage advisers, property staff and senior managers
  • Creation and updating of accurate MI to evidence performance and drive improvements
  • Accurate data entry and updating of CRM system
  • Requesting and analysing credit files from clients with credit issues
  • Identifying opportunities for referrals to other areas of the Firm e.g. legal, estate agency, investment needs

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

Essential

  • Confident communicator with experience of telephone sales
  • Well organised with an attention to detail
  • Driven, selfmotivated with an ability and desire to work autonomously
  • Sales orientated with an ability to spot opportunities
  • Strong written communication
  • Numerate and comfortable with basic calculations
  • IT literate good knowledge of Excel, Word, Outlook

Desirable

  • Basic understanding of mortgages and protection not essential as full training will be given
  • Experience of building relationships over the telephone
  • Desire to progress career within Financial Services
