Glebe House Care Home is looking to recruit a Maintenace Officer
Our privately owned care home, set in the beautiful and tranquil location of East Ayrshire, provides personalised Nursing & Residential care for 46-residents.
As Maintenance Officer, you will ensure the building and equipment is maintained to a high standard, always keeping our residents and staff safe and comfortable.
To ensure everyone is comfortable and protected, you will inspect different equipment and perform any basic repairs or preventative maintenance when required.
Maintenance Officer Contract
- £12.50 per hour
- 40 hours per week
- 5.6 weeks annual leave
- Company pension

Your Main Duties Will Include
- Perform minor repairs
- Check control panels and electrical wiring to identify issues
- Install appliances and equipment
- Do garden/yard upkeep by mowing lawn, collecting trash etc.
- Conduct maintenance tasks such as replacing light bulbs
- Maintain, service, clean and properly store equipment
- Check functionality of safety systems (e.g. fire alarm)
- Fire training & Fire Drills
- Inspect and repair all damages to building surfaces
- Participate in different projects (e.g. renovations)
- Report to a facilities or maintenance manager for issues
- Ensure adherence to quality standards and health and safety regulations
- Must hold a driving licence and be able to drive the care home's minibus
Occasional evening and weekend work may be required depending on the home's requirements, and you will be on-call for emergencies.
