About the role


This is a newly created role for a Finance Assistant to join us during a period of substantial growth in our nursery business.

Covering a broad range of financial tasks, the post holder will assist in the financial management of the business which includes processing financial transactions, accurate record keeping and liaising between the nurseries and the HQ function on finance matters.

A high proficiency of IT is required along with some experience of reconciling income and expenditure, accruals, debtor and credit control.

This role also includes support to the HR team with bank and payroll administration.


About you
You will have experience of working within an accounts department covering a variety of tasks.

We use accounting software (Sage) along with other platforms so you will need to be able to quickly adapt to using different systems to manage and manipulate large volumes of data.

You will have some experience in working with financial journals and reconciliations and have the ability or potential to use technical competence to analyse processes, review problems and recommend solutions.

Overall, we are looking for someone who is happy to be fully hands-on and open to the challenges of a newly created role which will evolve over time.
