About the role

- "We are looking for an Operations Team Leader to manage our team within the Waste Projects here at Hinkley Point A and contribute to the scope of Decommissioning work being carried out in multiple areas across the site. You will be responsible for supervising, managing and motivating team members daily and carrying out regular safety observations to ensure safety and compliance._

  • As a team leader, you will be the contact point for all team members, so your communication skills should be excellent. You should also be able to act proactively to ensure smooth team operations and effective collaboration and lead by example in maintaining high work standards within the teams._
  • You should lead by setting a good example and engage the team to achieve goals in a safe and compliant manner."_

_ Please note this role is based at Hinkley Point A and__ the contractual working hours are Monday - Thursday, , perfect for someone seeking a four day working week._**
Key Deliverables

  • Oversee daytoday operation including C3/C4 entries ensuring work is completed in a safe and compliant manner
  • Ensure adherence to safe systems of work and actively lead on, and champion, continuous safety improvements within your work areas
  • Use your skills and experience to be an effective leader of a delivery focussed programme
  • Support your teams learning and development through knowledge sharing, task instruction, organising training and authorisation requests and managing the team's capability to meet the delivery programme
  • Actively engage with technical and works planning teams to ensure both plant and people are optimised to facilitate delivery of the programme

Qualifications and Experience

  • Experience in project related operations and/or ILW/LLW radioactive waste processing (essential).
  • Knowledge of radiological matters and nuclear safety standards, including working within hazardous radiation and contamination areas (C2/3/4) (essential).
  • Demonstrable experience in waste operations, management and procedure's role (desirable).

Please be aware this role holder requires security clearance, or the ability to obtain said clearance.

There is a requirement to live within a commutable distance to the sites where the role is based. For central/multi-site roles, we have various hubs across the UK and can be flexible with base location.
