Reed Engineering are currently working with a highly reputable Medical manufacturer who are looking for an experienced Manufacturing Engineer to join their team.


Your responsibilities:

  • The Manufacturing Engineering is responsible for undertaking all aspects of the introduction of new products into manufacturing. Working closely with the Design Engineers, you will ensure process capability to achieve the requirements and regulatory complianceof new product introductions and of changes to existing products.
  • Design, planning and commissioning of production line layouts/cells/equipment
  • Transfer and set up of manufacturing data, including all manufacturing documentation
  • Leading and documenting process verification and validation exercises in line with Design Control procedures
  • Provide ongoing support to maintain and improve production QCD
  • Design and implementation of component supply and finished product systems (e.g. Kanban, pulls systems etc.)
  • Conduct Health & Safety, COSHH and PUWER risk assessments as required
  • Maintain an uptodate knowledge relevant manufacturing processes (injection moulding, sheet metal etc.)
  • Lead and participate in Continuous Improvement activities, Training, Quality investigations and Supplier selection

Your qualifications:

  • Relevant Engineering degree or minimum HNC/HND with relevant experience
  • 2+ years working in an Engineering or Manufacturing environment
  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing techniques
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings
  • Computer & IT literacy, familiarity with Office software tools
