Ofgem works on behalf of energy consumers to ensure that every household and business in the UK can rely on a safe, affordable and environmentally sustainable energy supply.

We are playing a vital part in accelerating the transition to Net Zero and a carbon neutral energy system - a goal that everyone wants to achieve

In this role, you'll collaborate with Product Managers and Service Owners to develop design concepts and oversee their execution, leading projects of varying complexity.

You'll support service design practices, contribute to the Ofgem User-Centred Design (UCD) community, and elevate service design understanding across the organisation.

Your tasks include producing and maintaining design documents, guiding the design strategy for services, and ensuring smooth collaboration with cross-functional teams for effective project delivery.

Additionally, you'll streamline UCD processes and facilitate a seamless transition to operational delivery.

Join us to be at the forefront of shaping the future of energy regulation and sustainability with newly created roles designed to enhance our in-house Service, User Design, and Interaction Design capabilities.

As part of a wider network within Ofgem, you'll have the opportunity to work on high-profile Net Zero Projects, enjoying autonomy in your role while contributing to the development of the function and mentoring junior staff.

We offer extensive learning and development opportunities within the DDaT Profession, flexible hybrid working arrangements with one day a week remote work, and a friendly, collaborative environment.

This is your chance to gain significant exposure to the GDS function and the energy sector, making a tangible impact on a carbon-neutral future.

At Ofgem, we pride ourselves on our inclusive culture that celebrates the diversity of our team, encouraging innovation and ensuring we effectively represent the interests of the consumers and communities we serve.
