Assistant Caretaker

£25,000 per annum plus a 10% shift allowance, opportunity for on-the-job training and free lunches during term time

Full time, 40 hours per week


Godstowe Preparatory School is a thriving independent day and boarding preparatory school for some 430 girls (with boys in the Pre-Preparatory department).

The School's operations are spread over numerous separate buildings on its 12 acre parkland site on the northern outskirts of High Wycombe.

Godstowe comprises a number of buildings, some dating back to the early 1900s, as well as brand-new purpose built facilities, such as our 25m four lane indoor swimming pool.

The Estate Team maintains and improves the School buildings and grounds. We require an energetic and enthusiastic person to join our Estates Team.

You will have experience in one or more areas of maintenance, such as joinery, heating and plumbing, painting and decorating and electrics.


Hours are based on a shift pattern, with one week of earlies starting at 6am, and one week of lates finishing at approximately 10pm.

A clean driving licence is essential. Previous employment in a similar setting and understanding of health and safety requirements are desirable.
