This is a not-for-profit membership organisation that is in a Gold League of Health and Safety within its field and the services they offer are second to none.

They offer training, advice, and software solutions.

Based in Edgbaston, the offices are close to train and bus stations, there is parking available. With offices in a lovely, scenic location, you will be close to all the shops and amenities.

The role offers hybrid working with 2/3 days in the office and therest from home, you will also have the opportunity to occasionally travel overseas to clients.

You will benefit from 25 days of holiday + bank holidays, with an option to purchase an additional holiday, 4 x death in service, GP helpline access and privatehealthcare.

This is a business that has doubled in staff and work on real and current campaigns, you will be working within the international sales team as they expand overseas so you will benefit with regular overseas travel to visits new and existing clients.


The essence of the role
Support the company's expansion plans into overseas territories to provide training and consultant services to various sectors.


Scope of the Business Development Manager Role

  • Prospecting new clients to build a long term and sustainable relationships
  • Implement the company's sales strategy to target new business
  • Securing new international/UK business opportunities through competitive tender
  • Enhance and develop awareness and understanding of cultural issues in overseas regions
  • Conducting competitor analysis/networking promoting the business as a specialist provider
  • Handover of new clients into operations function of the business retaining ownership
  • Management on key prospect list and demonstrate sales activity
  • Ensure health, safety and environmental risks are sufficiently assessed and controlled
- responsible for GDPR complianceensuring all data is stored within company policy


Prerequisites

  • Proven track record of securing and generating new business
  • Target driven mindset
  • Must be flexible to travel overseas at short notice
  • Effective communication skills
  • Able to strive in a team environment
  • Experienced at building and maintain relationships
  • Clean driving license
