The Asset Advisory Team provides professional valuation advice on machinery and business assets to financial institutions, insolvency practitioners, accountants, and company management.

We value all types of industrial assets for a variety of purposes and also advise on asset disposal strategy, with our bespoke online auction platform and site clearances.

In addition, we have LPA property receivership specialists. We work across the UK and sometimes further afield for a vast array of clients.

Position Overview:

LSH have exciting opportunities in Leeds or Manchester for dynamic, ambitious, and self‐motivated individuals with aspirations to pursue a long‐term career in the valuation and/or sale of machinery and business assets, leading to qualification as a Chartered Surveyor.


The LSH Asset Advisory Team provides a wide range of professional services including valuation and disposal of plant and equipment to asset-based lenders, insolvency practitioners, accountants, banks, corporate and private clients, insurance brokers, and law firms.


Upon completion of your degree and following structured workplace learning you will undertake the RICS Assessment of Professional Competence leading to registration with the RICS as a Chartered Surveyor.

  • Communication skills, both orally (articulate) and written English (literate)
  • A high level of proficiency in spreadsheet analysis using Microsoft Excel (Lookups, pivot tables and various formulas)
  • Computer literate in Microsoft Word, Outlook and & Power Point
  • An eye for detail
  • Willingness to travel throughout the UK

Position:

  • Assist in day to day running and management of all case work
  • Assisting with asset/ plant and machinery site inspections/ surveys
  • Assisting with the preparation of valuation reports
  • Collating and analyzing comparable evidence/ sales data
  • Assisting with the sales of plant and machinery assets

Applicants must have either:

  • A RICS accredited degree in Real Estate
  • An undergraduate degree in any other discipline and be prepared to study for a parttime postgraduate MSc in Real Estate
  • A minimum 96 UCAS points (A-Level grades CCC or equivalent) and be seeking to complete a chartered surveying degree apprenticeship (BSc in Real Estate at Level 6).
In addition a full, clean UK driving license is essential.
