About us


We are looking for a cleaner to work 2 to 3 hours per day at The Ship Aground, which is a family owned pub in the village of Mortehoe, near Woolacombe.

The position is for 2 days per week, working on Tuesdays and Wednesdays.

There may occasionally be extra days available when cover for the other cleaner's days off is needed but there will be no pressure to work them.


The start time is 8am and all the cleaning must be finished by the time the bar staff arrive at 11:30am.


The aim of the job is to keep our pub clean and tidy, ensuring that all surfaces are free of dirt and grime and the area is presentable and and sanitary for our customers to eat and drink in.


The duties of the position include:

  • Dusting of all surfaces of the public areas.
  • Cleaning and polishing the tables and other furniture.
  • Vacuuming the carpets.
  • Mopping the bar area and other hard floors.
  • Cleaning and topping up the supplies of the toilets.
  • Restocking handwashing supplies.
  • Maintaining supplies of cleaning products.
  • Sweeping up outside patios, weather permitting

Job Type:
Part-time

Part-time hours: 4-6 per week


Salary:
£12.50 per hour
