We're looking for a
Grab Driver to join our Utilities team in Plymouth.

Location:
Plymouth

Contract:
Permanent - Full time

Kier Utilities brings the built environment to life, keeping people and businesses connected.

In this role, you will be working on our National Grid Electricity Distribution (NGED), where we work on maintaining the client electricity distribution network across the chosen area.

Your day to day will include:

Responsible for backfill and servicing of excavations both on the public highway and on private land
Providing support to the teams to remove excavated material and import clean stone for backfilling purposes
Assisting the teams with backfilling and site clearance, ensuring compliance of backfill operations regarding materials, compaction, cavity depths, cover levels and overall quality control
Completing site risk assessments and quality checks, receiving and updating scheduled work, quality control and record keeping via an electronic tablet
Transporting store and materials around the company area to support depots.

Who are we looking for?

Holder of a valid Category C driving licence is essential.
CPC Licence, Lorry Loader / Grab (clamshell ticket) and NRSWA Streetworks, however we can provide this training if not
Experience of Drivers' hours regulations & daily vehicle checks and defect reporting
