Do you have experience in leading and developing MBA admissions strategies and want to play a part in building MBA cohorts at a world class institution? This is an exciting opportunity to join us at Imperial College Business School and lead the admissions activity for our four MBA programmes.

The Admissions team plays a critically important role in achieving this vision by selecting students for our portfolio of MBA, MSc and Undergraduate programmes.


Duties and responsibilities:


  • You will develop, implement and manage the MBA Admissions strategy in line with the Business School vision, and in collaboration with other key stakeholders.
  • You will be responsible for providing regular reporting, including analysis, insights, forecasts, and actions for the MBA suite.
  • You will work closely with the Director of Admissions, to develop effective selection strategies for the Business School's portfolio of MBA programmes in order to contribute to the School's recruitment objectives in terms of quantity, quality and diversity.
  • You will manage the annual MBA scholarships budget, allocating funds across programmes to best support the School's quality and diversity objectives.
  • You will be responsible for managing customer service levels for MBA admissions enquiries to ensure that a highquality service is provided to applicants at every stage of the process.
  • You will linemanage the MBA Admissions Manager, as well as develop and motivate the MBA Admissions Team, supporting a positive culture focused on achieving targets and excellent results.
  • You will represent the Business School at global professional organisations and events and build relationships with colleagues at peer schools.

Essential requirements:


  • Experience in the education sector, including awareness of international education systems, market trends, government regulations, qualifications and selection processes.
  • Proven experience and track record in reviewing, designing and enhancing processes in order to deliver operational excellence and outstanding customer service.
  • Experienced manager with a track record of developing and managing staff.
  • Excellent relationship development, communication and listening skills.
  • Excellent IT skills (in particular Excel and PowerPoint) and demonstrable experience of analysing complex data and using the results to inform future planning.

Further information:

The College is currently trialling a Work Location Framework until early 2023.

Hybrid working may be considered for this role and the role holder may be expected to work 60% or more of their time onsite, with 40% the minimum time spent onsite.
