One full time, 12 month fixed term positions with a usual working pattern of Monday 09:00-17:00. Position will be based in Hastings and applicants will be working in a variety of locations within the districtThis includes:
inpatient, community SPFT sites as well as co-location within Local Authority Housing offices.
Housing Specialists will receive referrals from people using adult mental health services and use their high level of housing knowledge, skills, and experience to complete a housing assessment & action plan to improve the person's housing situation.
You will manage and prioritise a caseload of people who are in housing need across your designated area alongside contributing to an office hours team duty system covering the organisation.
Housing Specialists will work face to face and virtually with adults who use our services depending on their needs and communications preferences.
This will involve face to face presence at inpatient and community mental health teams in your assigned area as well as Local Housing Authority offices.
Although not essential as training will be provided, it would be advantageous for applicants to have had some experience of working with people who experience severe and enduring mental health problems.

In this role you will work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team, to help us provide the opportunity for the residents of East Sussex in line with national agendas of Getting It Right First Time, a whole system approach to recovery from mental ill health and maximising an individual's quality of life and social inclusion.

To deliver specialist housing advice, assistance, and interventions to people who use our services in relation to their housing needs which will prevent or relieve homelessness, secure good quality and longer term settled housing solutions, and reduce financial hardship.
To work between local mental health and housing systems to ensure people who use our services and staff receive high quality and timely specialist housing input and access to wider housing teams and referral pathways.
The position will be primarily based within the district they are assigned toin a variety of settings with applicants expected to travel within the district.

The salary banding on these three posts is pending job evaluation.
