Principal Marine Systems Engineer

Location:
Portsmouth, my client offers a range of hybrid and flexible working arrangements


Salary:
Up to £53,000 depending on experience


Principal Marine Systems Engineer Team:

Atlas Recruitment Group are recruiting for a Principal Marine Systems Engineer on behalf of our prestigious defence client.

Working on the largest warship ever in service with the RN, and the Nation's flagship, this will be a challenging and rewarding careerwith lot of potential for development and progression.

This team has a strong track record of professional development with support in achieving CEng accreditation.

You will be exposed to various opportunities to gain experience in working across differentdivisions and roles elsewhere in the wider warship support function.


What you'll be doing as a Principal Marine Systems Engineer:

  • Contributing to the leadership and management
  • Reviewing and demonstrating that design intent has been achieved,
  • Identifying and propose opportunities for improvement of Platform design
  • Providing leadership in determining product safety and environmental effect in the marine environment
  • Providing accurate instructions and

Your skills and experiences as a Principal Marine Systems Engineer:

Essential

  • Degree qualified in Mechanical / Marine Engineering or relevant experience
  • Knowledge of marine auxiliary and / or platform systems
  • Understanding of Design Change integration and standards

Desirable

  • Royal Navy, Maritime background or time served engineer from industry
  • Ship Build / Repair, Defence, Aviation, Nuclear, Oil & Gas
  • An understanding and experience of the defence maritime industry
