Join us as a Product Owner, Mettle

  • Working closely with your Product Manager and other mission teams in a crosscollaborative manner, you'll ensure that the product is delivered on time, within budget and meets customer expectations
  • You'll collaborate with your team on prototyping and validating potential solutions to customer problems, establishing that proposed features are compliant with policies and regulations
  • As a key member of our team, you can expect great visibility for you and your work as you put the customer at the heart of our digital channel plans and constantly improve their digital journey

What you'll do:


As a Product Owner, you'll be leading our Agile Product team and working with talented designers and engineers to deliver the best outcomes for both our clients and their customers.


You'll be setting the vision for our existing digital features and integrations, making sure that we continue to evolve and create a world-class digital experience.

What's more, you'll take ownership of the roadmap and the definition, management and prioritisation of the backlog.


In addition, you'll be:

  • Analysing research and data, talking to customers and reviewing feature requests
  • Building the best overall picture for your assigned product area and acting as a point of contact for information and updates on your product area
  • Prioritising the team backlog and defining what to focus on and in what order
  • Splitting epics into detailed user stories and feature specifications in Jira for the team to pick up and build
  • Working with the technology leads to set the objectives for sprints, ensure the quality of outputs, adhere to product governances and make sure that there's a focus on risk and regulatory compliance

The skills you'll need:


To be successful in this role, you'll need experience as a Product Owner or Product Manager and of working in a Scrum or Agile team, paired with the ability to innovate, partner and collaborate with customers and colleagues to implement the best digital experience for our clients.


In addition, you'll have an understanding of financial, banking, payments or lending products and, ideally, knowledge of how to partner with third parties to deliver market-leading customer experiences.


Furthermore, you'll need:

  • An understanding of technologies across mobile, the web and API
  • A successful track record of digital delivery and operations
  • Digital channel management and humancentred design experience
  • A technical background with a fundamental understanding of products, software development and UX
