We launch award winning typeface releases such as Helvetica Now and Futura Now and develop marketing materials and educational tools to attract and inspire.


The role:

  • As a Designer at Monotype, your primary responsibility is to produce outstanding creative solutions that are beautifully crafted and delivered with rigor and flair.
  • You will work in conjunction with the Creative Director, Design Lead, fellow Designers, animators, and writers to evaluate and develop design options based on the creative brief and creative strategy.
  • Discuss, explore, and generate design options and solutions with the marketing, corporate marketing, content, and product teams that support and push the visual identity for Monotype.
  • Design marketing materials that support our lead generation and Account Based Marketing initiatives for Monotype products and services, whilst ensuring continuously improving our KPIs.
  • Design for brand awareness projects, feeding both the strategic and foundational initiatives. Delivering a consistent Monotype brand and experience, via all touchpoints and programs worldwide.
  • Deliver typeface release marketing design, working together with the marketing, product, and studio teams.
  • Continually pushing for the highest levels of quality and attention to detail for all areas of design, keeping in mind our values and the global reach of the business.
  • Think creatively to develop innovative design concepts, graphics, and layouts.
  • Be an advocate for our brand and our creativity on an internal and external level.
  • Contribute to crossfunctional global teams.
  • Contribute to the expansion of the visual style of the brand.
  • Take part in the establishment of our internal team, helping to develop the design approach and tools we use to manage the creative process endtoend.

What we're looking for:

  • A bright and ambitious designer, up for the challenge of joining a dynamic creative team.
  • You have 36 years of broad creative experience, agency or inhouse, with the ability to network and adapt to different cultures.
  • Highly proficient in design.
  • Outstanding design portfolio with examples of marketing collateral, identity, typography, and layout design. Online and offline.
  • Possession of creative flair, versatility, conceptual / visual ability, and originality.
  • Ability to interact, clearly communicate and present ideas, and manage stakeholders when necessary.
  • Up to date with industry leading software and technologies (Adobe Creative Cloud suite. Cinema 4D, After Effects and type design software a plus).
  • Professionalism regarding time, costs, and deadlines.
  • Relevant university/professional degree or equivalent experience.
