**Warehouse AssistantBasic Salary - £19,372

We're proud of our heritage stretching backover 100 years, we make a difference to everyone; delivering science for the public good and tackling all sorts of risks This role is part of a dedicated PTG Dispatch Team, who are responsible for the shipping of Proficiency Testing and Quality Control samplesto a 3000+ international customer base.
You will be carrying out the dispatching of orders, and monitoring of stock levels and cold stores.What you'll be doing:
- Prepare for and carry out packing and shipping of Proficiency Testing samples as required by the PTG timetable
- Use bespoke courier systems to generate and process tracked shipments
- Label, store and maintain correct stock records of Proficiency Testing samples and packaging stocks
- Liaise with Admin and Tech Support teams to resolve any issues with shipping and orders
- The post will involve manual handling, standing for prolonged periods and working in cold environments for which PPE will be provided. PTG do not currently operate shift working, but operations commence daily at 8:00 am
What we're looking for:
- Excellent communication and time management skills
- We're a closeknit team and work together at pace
- Experience of working in a warehouse environment would be beneficial. This may be from a role in logistics or retail
- An understanding of compliance with Quality Systems accreditation criteria would be ideal
