Description

My client in the Mapplewell area of Barnsley are looking for an experienced Machinist.
The company require a time served Manual Machinist / Lathe Turner.

The Role:
Ideally apprentice trained / Time Served
Responsible for performing operational functions on a variety of Machining Lathes / Millers and or manual machines.
Conversant with engineering drawing practice
Setting / operating and manufacturing a variety of components to tight tolerances
Ability to deliver products to deadlines
Use a wide range of measuring equipment to check components during manufacture
To monitor tool wear, adjust offsets and replace inserts when necessary, ensuring correct operation of the machine at all times
Maintain a safe working environment and adhere to Health and Safety procedures and policies
Demonstrate good housekeeping practices
Proactively identify and make recommendation for improvements

Working Hrs - Monday to Thursday 7am to 3.30pm and Friday 6am to 2.30pm.
