Description
About Us
Wandsworth Council is seeking to recruit an independent chair for their Fostering and Permanence panel.

Wandsworth Council is investing strongly in its fostering provision with a target to significantly increase the number of looked after children placed with in-house foster carers.

The role of the Chair is crucial to our success in improving outcomes for Looked After Children.

Wandsworth Council currently operates a monthly panel on the third Wednesday of the month.

It considers presentations of mainstream short-term and respite fostering, Connected Persons, Family Link and Parent and Child approvals and re-approvals, and permanent fostering matches.

In addition to chairing the Fostering Panel, there will be the usual Panel Chair responsibilities and at least one training day during the year.

The Chair will be expected to be available for at least 80% of panel meetings.

Full day panel £1,000.
