Maintenance Supervisor - Opening of brand new hotel - Permanent role - Full Time

One of the UK's leading 'white label' hotel management companies, Legacy Hotels and Resorts Limited have a rare opportunity for a Maintenance Manager to join our high calibre team in a well-established global brand.
This is part of a £250 million regeneration of the town centre; including 200,000sq ft of retail and leisure space, 520 space multi storey carpark and a Metrolink extension to Manchester City Centre.
You will have the opportunity to be heavily involved with an exciting new project, working alongside a strong senior leadership team.
Role Overview
To be responsible for the maintenance and repair of all areas of the hotel to ensure that all comply with company, hotel and legal requirements.
You will show commitment to quality whilst dealing with guests in a; friendly, helpful, efficient, and professional manner at all times.
- Comply with all statutory and company regulations relating to health and safety, hygiene, conduct of employees, fire emergency procedures and security
- Ensure that all staff and contractors in your areas of responsibility work in a safe environment and wear protective clothing when supplied and whenever necessary
- Maintain and keep in order all heating equipment (supported by external contractors)
- Maintain and keep in good order the boiler house equipment (supported by external contractors)
- Maintain mechanical plant (supported by external contractors)
- Maintain water tank and drainage system (supported by external contractors)
- Plumbing repairs (with support from external contractors where applicable)
- Maintain all electrical services in the building (alongside contractors) including equipment, lighting, fire alarms systems and lifts CCTV
- Periodically check fire alarms, equipment and emergency lighting system
- Replace worn or damaged woodwork/ paint or varnish new wood
- Control expenditure in line with the limits set by the General Manager and Financial Controller for the purchasing of maintenance spares, parts and supplies
- Report any maintenance repairs likely to require expenditure over the planned budget
- Maintain all health and safety statutory records in line with legal requirements and to adhere to all company rules policies and procedures
