Rotherham Council

Rate - £400 to £500 per day - Inside ir35

PURPOSE OF ROLE:

The post holder will have strategic responsibility for ensuring the Local Authority has an effective Education Place Planning strategy with high performance outcomes annually in relation to e.g. National Offer Days. Ensure business opportunities across education services are maximised and risk management activity for schools meets statutory requirements.

The Service covers:

Education places forward planning of infrastructure requirements
Securing of capital to support infrastructure requirements e.g. basic need, Section 106/Section 111 and CIL
Consultations in relation to new infrastructure and admissions arrangements including engagement with the Local Admissions Forum
Statutory returns to Central Government, ESFA, Schools Adjudicator etc
Setting of School term dates
Admission to school arrangements
Admissions Appeals
Fair Access Protocol
Elective Home Education
Placement monitoring and tracking
School Risk Management including health and safety, emergency planning, business continuity, insurance claims
Emergency Planning and Business Continuity Lead CYPS
Business Management and development including traded offer to schools
DSG contingency for pupil growth fund allocations
Elections liaison with schools used as polling station:
Risk Registers / Strategic Risk Champion for Education and Inclusion
Children Missing Education (CME)
Child Employment and Performance (licencing and chaperoning
School Exclusions
