Role Overview
We are looking for a
Procurement Officer to join our fantastic Procurement team.

This role is to lead on the onboarding and maintenance of suppliers and contracts within A2D's Purchase to Pay (P2P) and procurement systems, as well as providing support and guidance to the business areas with it's general purchase to pay activities, ensuring this is all completed in compliance with policy and procedures.

The role will also support A2D business areas in undertaking sourcing activities such as requests for quotations and lower value tenders.


Some Key responsibilities:


  • Support the Strategic Procurement team in implementing the Group's Procurement Policy and Procedures, ensuring consistency with corporate objectives, UK regulations and legislation, and any other statutory guidance. This also includes raising awareness around best practice and any changes to regulations that affect procurement, using the most effective communication channels.
  • To lead on the onboarding and maintenance of the supplier records within D365 F&O, ensuring that processes and procedures are adhered to.
  • To assist in creating and maintaining a register of preferred and approved suppliers within D365 F&O, based on the relevant procurement category, ensuring that all supporting documents relating to the suppliers are in place and date stamped for renewals as required.
  • To provide first line case management support to the Procurement Helpdesk in resolving, reassigning, or escalating queries and cases.
  • Taking a prominent role in lower value sourcing and tendering activities, including the running of further competitions within frameworks, at all stages from business case approval to running the competition to contract award.
  • To support the Strategic Procurement Team with the maintenance of the D365 Enterprise Contract Management module, to provide up to date visibility of contracts and their association with suppliers and procurement categories. Also reporting on due diligence needs for strategic contracts (eg insurance policy documents).
  • To continuously assess, as part of the Strategic Procurement Team, the current procurement processes and documentation to identify areas for improvement and potential noncompliance

More about you:


  • Educated to GCSE level or equivalent in Maths and English (Grades A
  • C)
  • Ability to manage a varying workload of both tasks and project related work
  • Experience of working within a procurement or purchasing environment
  • Experience of successfully sourcing suppliers to meet business requirements
  • Good working knowledge of Excel, Word, Outlook and eprocurement systems
  • Understanding of compliance with procurement regulations in the public sector
  • Ability to influence both internal and external stakeholders to consider, possibly by negotiation, alternative outcomes and methods
  • Ability to communicate clearly and accurately through various means of communication and engagement
