Pro Insurance currently has a new opportunity for a Compliance Assistant to join our Group Risk and Compliance Team.

This role will involve working in a small team, predominantly assisting with checking and completing the required compliance and audit documentation for the business, have involvement in project work and liaise with clients, suppliers and staff throughout the firm, on a daily basis.


Pro operates a hybrid working model and the majority of this role will be working from home but with travel to the Gloucester office on a weekly basis.


Purpose of the Role:


This dedicated role within Pro will allow for the applicant to quickly gain a broader knowledge of Pro with exposure to wider internal and external stakeholders and the ability to utilise this knowledge as they progress further in their career.


Due diligence is a process to collect and analyse business information to assess an ability to meet certain business standards before making a decision.

In Pro this function is divided into different types of activity; Client (Initial, Annual and Audit preparation) and Supplier (initial and Annual).


The role requires regular liaison with many people from different vertical, territories and service functions, and allows for an excellent insight into the extensive business controls that have to be in place for Pro's clients to consider engaging Pro in an appointment.


Key Responsibilities:


  • To coordinate and deliver the daytoday Group due diligence activities under supervision from the Compliance Manager and Head of Governance Risk and Compliance
  • Support all client audit preparation and assist in the onsite and post audit management
  • Work closely within the Governance Risk and Compliance team in Pro to learn the broader context behind the due diligence questions and develop broad knowledge of all aspects of Pro controls (Business Operations, General IT and IT Security, Business Continuity, HR, Compliance & Risk, Environmental and other corporate aspects) in order to continually improve management of due diligence activity
  • Produce appropriate management information reports on due diligence, considering aspects such as status, trends, and issues
  • Working with business areas to help them understand why business controls must be in place
  • Assist with any other associated team activity as required.

Knowledge skills and experience:


  • Ability to manage discrete projects to tight and challenging deadlines to a consistently high standard
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal and ability to deal with staff and clients at all levels
  • Ability to work on own initiative and in a small team
  • Conscientious with good attention to detail

Job Types:

Salary:
£24,000.00-£26,000.00 per year
