The role of the Communications and Social Media Specialist is to lead on the development, implementation and evaluation of communications strategies in support of the organisation's objectives.

You will be supporting our nursing workforce helping to influence and shape our approach to communications.


We want our nurses, midwives and AHPs to excel and we're proud to be one of only 14 Trusts in the country to pilot an ambitious new programme aimed at enhancing nursing care.

Called Pathway to Excellence, the Communications and Social Media Specialist will be responsible for overseeing and delivering all communications approaches aimed at breathing life into this exciting programme.


You will have experience in establishing and delivering impactful communications programmes (internal and external) across complex organisations and will take responsibility for the day to day management of channels/communications programmes including content production.

We want to build the personal stories that bring Pathway to Excellence to life and, as such, you'll need to be a confident interviewer and writer who knows how to connect with people and discover not only what motivates them but also what will inspire others.

You will have experience in establishing and delivering impactful communications programmes across complex organisations and will take responsibility for the development of new methods and channels, the production of engaging content and be a confident ideas generator with an ability to execute in a timely fashion.

As well as an ability to plan, build, deliver and measure communications approaches, you'll also be adept on social media with a strong working knowledge across multiple platforms.

As well as excellent, confident writing capabilities, this role requires skills in project management, event management, stakeholder engagement and good interpersonal relationship building.
