Description

Catalent are currently recruiting for a Laboratory Assistant to join the Nottingham site. The laboratory Assistant will look after and maintain the laboratory and laboratory equipment including overseeing and liaising with contractors.

The role:

Ensure laboratories / manufacturing areas are maintained in a tidy state.
Cleaning laboratory equipment according with cGMP standards.
Moving an equipment between laboratories.
Assembly/disassembly of manufacturing equipment.
Conduct inhouse maintenance, calibration and validation of laboratory equipment in accordance with current procedures.
Plan and organise external engineer visits to site for preventative maintenance, equipment breakdowns and equipment validation as required.
Ensure the laboratories are appropriately stocked with consumable and chemical supplies.
Assist with goods receipt and warehouse operations.
Assist with hazardous waste management for all laboratories /manufacturing areas.
Preparing laboratory samples and solutions to assist formulation project work.
Ability to multitask and demonstrate diplomatic skills
Proficient (excellent) in English verbal and written communication skills to convey and receive ideas and instructions to/from others within and outside the organization
Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from peers, management, suppliers and customers
Strong organizational skills
Ability to work effectively under pressure to meet deadlines
Experience of working in a laboratory environment would be advantageous
