This is an exciting opportunity to join UHDB(University Hospitals of Derby and Burton NHS Foundation Trust) for a period of maternity cover.

The Environmental & Sustainability Officer will be part of the team responsible for development and sustainability across UHDB, providing support all areas and guidance on how we can achieve our Net Zero targets.


Reporting to the Head of Estates, the post holder will support the development, sustainability, and performance management of the Sustainability agenda.


The post holder will be responsible as part of a small team for driving the ongoing Net Zero agenda for the trust.


The post holder will work as part of a wider team to provide targeted intervention and support various trust staff onsustainability concerns, and will work closely with the Estates andFacilitiesteams to help delivery the Trusts objectives.


Working as part of the wider sustainability community the post holder will be key to the implementation of new ways of working such as the development of new practices, and providing support and guidance to UHDB, ensuring that robust governance arrangements are in place in line with local and national targets.
