We have an exciting opportunity for a caring and compassionate individual who is committed to providing outstanding patient care to join our Physical Therapy department as an Inpatient Technical Instructor.

Our Physical Therapy service is a multi-disciplinary team comprising of Physiotherapists, Osteopaths, Hand therapists, Occupational Therapists, Women's Health Specialist and a Sports Medicine Consultant and provides exceptional patient care throughout the entire patient journey.
You will be a strong and empathetic clinician who is absolutely patient focused with a passion for therapy and a desire to deliver healthcare at its very best.
This is a bank contract and is therefore zero hours contract working flexibly to cover leave and absence in the department.
Role Responsibilities include:
- To work alongside the inpatient physical therapy team to maintain an efficient daytoday service, contributing towards the general running of the physical therapy department.
- Assess pre and postsurgical inpatients and working alongside the inpatient team clinically reason appropriate treatment plans.
- Assist clients with mobility and exercise programmes, under the guidance of a qualified physical therapist.
- Encourage patients and their family/carer's in an active approach to regaining and maintaining personal independence.
- Be responsible for ensuring all aspects of clinical governance are maintained specifically taking an active role in clinical audit.
Person Specification:
- Be qualified to NVQ Level 3 or a minimum of 1year relevant hospital experience
- Have relevant therapy experience at either an assistant or a Technical Instructor level
- Be absolutely patient focused with a desire to facilitate a collaborative culture within the department
- Be energetic and achievement focused with a passion for therapy and the desire to develop
- Be willing to continually develop and work within professional competencies.
