Butler Rose, public practice are delighted to be supporting our client, a reputable firm of chartered accountants based in the City of London who specialise in the charity and non-profit sector for an Audit Trainee to join their existing team.

Role Requirements

Assist in the preparation of statutory accounts.

Assist and participate in audit assignments at client sites.
Draft Corporation Tax returns (CT600).
Compile Profit and Loss accounts, balance sheets of assets and liabilities and trial balance accounts.
Draft reports covering financial statements, client business issues, systems and controls.
Liaise closely with clients and other stakeholders, keeping the relevant manager/supervisor informed of developments.

Person Requirements

Ideally studying for chartership with ACCA or ACA.

At least 1 year experience within practice in a similar role.
Double entry accounting and bookkeeping skills.
Previous experience in audit would be desirable but if not, this will be taught.
Proficiency in the use of Caseware, Sage, Quickbooks, Xero, Alphatax and CCH.
