TEXO Recruitment are looking for a Training and Competency Coordinator on behalf of TEXO Group on a full time, permanent basis.
The Training and Competency Coordinator is responsible for providing proactive, focused training and competence support to the business. This would include legislative requirements and competency frameworks, whilst assisting with the management of safety and technical training.Key Responsibilities
Training
- Training Programmes: Manage training & development programmes that align with Texo's goals and objectives.
- Needs Assessment: Identify training gaps, develop gap analysis plans, and perform regular audits and gap analysis on personnel training records.
- Training Administration: Coordinate all training bookings, including associated travel and accommodation issue joining instructions.
- Evaluation: Collate feedback to assess the effectiveness of training and suggest improvements.
- Record Keeping: Accurately maintain personnel training records to ensure compliance with company procedures. Update certification within the Company training system.
Competence
- Establish and assist in the ongoing maintenance of competency frameworks.
- Competency Assessment: Establish methods for assessing employee competency and track progress.
- Record Keeping: Accurately maintain competency records to ensure compliance with company and 3rd party procedures. Update competency requirements within the Company competency system.
- Act as the key focal point for management, personnel and external bodies in relation to competence activities. Provide advice and guidance to management on competence matters.
General
- Reporting: Create a reporting structure for KPI's & metrics in order to provide regular reports and data on training activities and outcomes to relevant departments.
- Technology: Manage, maintain & utilise all learning management systems and platforms for efficient training and competence delivery. Assist with the implementation and maintenance of new software.
- Collaboration: Work across all departments to understand their training and competency needs and align programmes accordingly.
- Continuous Improvement: Develops, implements, and maintains training and competence processes and procedures to ensure they remain robust and fitforpurpose.
- Budget Management: Assist Group HR Manager in managing costs effectively for training and competence activities.
- Continuous Learning: Develops own knowledge and skills through professional development and keeps up to date with training and competence best practice and quality assurance.
- Communication: Effectively communicate training schedules, expectations, and opportunities.
- Employee Development: Support employee career development through training and competencybuilding initiatives.
- Contribute to an environment where everyone feels, safe, valued and respected.
Qualifications and Experience
Essential
- Previous experience of working within a training and competence related role. Experience of working in a fastpaced environment.
- Knowledge of industry training & competency standards and requirements including an understanding of the awarding bodies.
- Familiarity with Competence Management Systems and processes.
- Highly effective team player with the ability to work under own initiative.
- Ability to develop highly effective relationships and build credibility.
- Demonstrate Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint skills to intermediate level.
- Excellent communication & influencing skills.
- Good planning and organisational skills with the ability to manage own workload effectively.
Desirable
- Knowledge and experience of working in the energy sector.
- Experience in using reporting tools such as Power BI
Salary:
From £30,000.00 per year
