We are working with a fantastic client in Reading to recruit for a HR Advisor on a permanent basis.

This role will be specialising in Employee Relations and is an excellent opportunity for someone who has worked in an Advisory role to take a step up.

Description
As a HR Advisor you will have a series of roles and responsibilities which include but aren't limited to:

  • To provide a dedicated Employee Relations service to an identified service area, in relation to absence and health issues, conduct and capability, grievance matters, organisational change (including but not limited to restructuring and TUPE) and a rangeof employment and employee relations matters ranging from low to high risk levels
  • Provide coaching, sound advice and guidance to managers, to develop our manager capability and upskilling in Employee Relation topics. Own cases to conclusion, including remote & on site attendance at meetings
  • Take ownership for the ACAS early conciliation process for an aligned business area
  • Deploy and facilitate training on various ER topics, including management best practices and HR policies at various Company locations
  • Take the lead role in all Employment Tribunal claims, for designated area, owning the case to conclusion, including case overview, completion of ET
  • Updating HR policies and letter templates
  • Undertake Job evaluation and bench marking both at individual employee and project level
  • Support HR Managers, Managing Director, and Centre Management as required on small to large scale projects
  • Work in a way that develops team working within the teams
  • Keep up to date with developments in employment legislation and human resources best practice, knowledge sharing within the team to ensure continuous development and improvement in the service offered
  • Ensures accurate recording of case management is recorded, analyses and produce reports with recommendations of tailored solutions to fit each Centre supported by HR Managers

Profile

  • Significant understanding of Employment legislation and HR policies
  • Experience of working in a highvolume industry such as retail/ hospitality leisure focused ER advice and guidance
  • Significant knowledge of current and future employment legislation including implications of TUPE
  • Previous experience of providing advice to managers on complex and highrisk cases (end to end process).
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Tools, manipulating data with Excel, analysing and presenting data
  • Full Driving License and willingness to visit all locations as per business needs
