We are currently seeking a Data Centre Bias, Site Supervisor to work on a client site within London Docklands.Location:
London Docklands
Reports to Technical Manager
Hours of work Mon - Fri 08:00 - 17:00
Salary:
Up to £45,000
Purpose of the Job
To provide supervision and leadership whilst carrying out planned preventative maintenance, reactive works to building plant, equipment, public health services and systems in accordance with agreed service levels, and response to site engineering emergencies.
Key Responsibilities
1 Ensure that routine maintenance is carried out to all building plant, equipment and systems to meet and exceed expectations, and agreed service level agreements.
3 Support the contract requirements as High Voltage and Low Voltage Authorised person providing switching schedules, planned and reactive support to all electrical systems.
5 Provide single point of contact out of hours and make informed decisions regarding remedial activities and escalation procedures.
6 Ensure that Cooling Systems and domestic water systems are maintained to comply with the requirements of the L8 standard.
8 Ensure that comprehensive maintenance records are kept in the form of task sheets - hard copy or electronically as required and to provide the same for internal and external auditing purposes.
9 Ensure that Method Statements and Risk Assessments are prepared and adhered to for all tasks carried out to ensure safe working practices.
10 Ensure that engineering subcontractors complete the site induction, are appropriately supervised, and comply with contractual commitments, and site operating processes.
12 Ensure the provision of a safe & healthy working environment, and ensure compliance with all Company policies and procedures, as well as client site policies, procedures and working arrangements, as required.
13 Ensure a professional image of Integral UK is presented to clients and visitors, and ensure excellence in customer service is delivered and promoted at all times.
15 Attend and support annual building shutdowns when required.
16 All other duties reasonably associated with this role.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Minimum of 5 years relevant experience in Critical Environments such as Banking HQ and Data Centres.
- LV Authorised Person (A Bonus)
- Electrical/Mechanical Engineering apprenticeship or similar
- C&G Pts. 1 & 2, equivalent or exceeds.
- 18th Edition
IEE:
Wiring and Installation (Ability to attain 18th Edition through additional training if you have 17th Edition)
- C&G 2391 test and inspection; BS 7671:2001 for inspection, testing and certification.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to deal with all levels of staff.
- Proactive in achieving the highest standard of operation.
- Have good IT and report writing skills.
- Ability to work under pressure whilst remaining calm, clear thinking and able to deliver the required services to the client within given time constraints.
