Ward D1 are looking to appoint healthcare assistants to support them in the delivery of safe, personal and effective care to their patients.

We provide care to a wide range of patients under general medicine, Haematology, Diabetes and Endocrinology.

Ward D1 is a 20 bedded general medical ward with a speciality in Haematology, Diabetes and endocrinology. The ward lies within the Medicine and emergency care division.

We are looking for a motivated individual who thrives in a fast paced environment, who aspires to deliver high quality care within a team of innovative professionals where every individuals contribution is valued.

Carry out assigned tasks involving direct care in support of and supervised by a registered nurse

Assisting patients with personal care including hair, teeth, nails

Helping to prepare patients for meals and assist in the service of meals

Assist in the care of pressure areas and the incontinent patient

Helping with feeding of patients

Assist with the keeping of routine charts - Fluid balance, Food record charts, intentional rounding

Experience in a care setting is preferable but not essential as full training will be given
