Job Purpose


To lead the implementation of the Northern Hub, that aims to generate a catalyst to inspire the school and residents to engage with the school community in active/leisure and community agency/stakeholder group activities, maximising school events and activities for our students, those of local schools, and families and community stakeholders.


The role is key in supporting the CENTRAL mission of supporting social justice through exceptional schools by placing the school community and estate at the centre of the community.


Supporting the direction of the community development long-term vision for schools and communities to increase engagement, aspiration, and connectedness with school, reducing inactivity.


Main Duties and Responsibilities
Key Duties

  • To lead the development and implementation of the North Hub community strategy ensuring we maximise the available resources and support connectivity between assets across the region.
  • Provide direct support and liaise with the locality specialist partners including local authority and community and voluntary sector
  • Lead and advise organisations about the available opportunities, resources, and funding sources to enable activity
  • Recognise and identify when community organisations need capacity and resilience support and provide support where aligned with the school strategy
  • To lead and ensure the communityfacing roles generate a coherent delivery of the community strategy for pupils, families, and the community (including Business, careers, arts, performing arts, sport, and community lettings) in curriculum, enrichment, and wider community activities
  • Ensure programmes and events strongly support the delivery of the CENTRAL enrichment guarantee
