Hours: 37 hours per week, including regular evenings and weekends (usually every third weekend) and bank holidays as part of a 7 day core duty rota.

A fantastic and exciting opportunity has arisen for an ambitious Ranger to join the Upton Country Park team


The multi award winning Upton Country Park in Poole, is centred on the Grade II* Listed Upton House and its beautiful Gardens, including large areas of native woodland, grassland and wetland habitats.

This 65.5 Ha site can be found very close to Poole, sits on the shore of Poole Harbour and is enjoyed by over 600,000 visitors a year.


The Ranger is a key role within the Upton Country Park team with a passion to protect and develop native woodland, grassland and wetland habitats, maintain access routes, furniture and other facilities.

The Ranger will engage visitors and inspire our large volunteer team.


The Ranger will supervise the Apprentice Countryside Worker and will be working closely with the Gardener to help maintain the Pleasure Grounds and with the Visitor Services and Catering teams to provide the best visitor experience.
