*Job Description - Logistics Administrator**Organisation Description*A brilliant opportunity to join a local organisation, which operates on an international level and specialises in the innovative design, manufacture, supply and installation of energy efficient Compressed Air Purification Equipment.*Location
Burton-Upon-Trent, Staffordshire
*Job Title*Logistics Administrator
*Salary*An excellent remuneration rate will be paid to the right individual, above the local average.
*Hours*20 days holiday per annum plus public holidays
Core hours are 08:30 - 17:00 Monday to Friday
30 minute lunch break
*Reporting Line*Logistics Manager
*Job Purpose*As the Logistics Administrator you will be responsible for dealing with goods that come into the warehouse and stores and assist with the handling and despatch of all stock. You will provide a cohesive and efficient warehouse/stores service to internal and external customers.
Responsibilities include:
- Booking inbound / outbound orders on to the stock control system
- Implement and manage regular stock takes
- Delegate workload to Warehouse Operatives
- Deputise for the Logistics Manager when required
- Assisting with the loading and unloading of vehicles
- Unpacking and placing all delivered stock items into their designated areas
- Moving stock around by hand or a forklift truck
- Labelling and rebranding stock items
- Preparing stock requirements
- Shrink wrapping and palletising goods for despatch
- To assist in the handling and dispatch of all stock (some jobs include delivering)
- Maintaining a clean and accessible warehouse and stores area
- Administering all paperwork and delivery notes as per defined procedures
- General Warehouse Duties
- Some driving as and when required
The role can be physically demanding and will need the individual to be able to prioritise and be able to adhere to safety regulations.
You will be required to work both indoors and outdoors when unloading containers, be of a reasonable standard of fitness and be okay with working at heights as and when required to access racking.
*Experience/Skills*Excellent administration, written and communication skillsGood IT Skills
Experience of Dear Systems / Cin7 desirable but not essential
Fork Lift Truck Licence desirable but not essential
An understanding of health and safety regulations
A high level of organisational skills
Ability to work on own initiative and as a team player to tight deadlines
Work with minimum supervision
Passion and enthusiasm for the brand
Their own transportation and a full clean driving licence that's been held for a minimum of 2 years
