Purpose of the role -


Our client is looking for a Senior Finance Business Partner to ensure the delivery of a professional, effective, high performing, customer focused Transactions Service that supports the organisation to achieve its objectives.


Job Role -

  • Responsible for the Accounts team ensuring the delivery of an effective and flexible service which is customer focussed and achieves key performance indicators
  • Responsible for the Treasury team ensuring effective control of bank accounts
  • Monitor and ensure payment of intercompany cash arrangements
  • Support the development of the finance and purchase systems, ensuring they are fit for purpose and support strategic priorities
  • Lead on service improvement for the Treasury and Accounts services to support strategic priorities and operational requirements
  • Ensure payment interfaces and file transfers into the finance system are accurate and timely
  • Produce timely high quality management information linked to the strategic plan including reports, analysis and benchmarking as required to support effective decisionmaking
  • Liaise with external organisations and stakeholders with the aim of identifying opportunities to generate efficiencies
  • Ensure that relevant Policies and Procedures are reviewed and kept up to date
  • Holds or is working towards a recognised accounting qualification or has significant demonstrable relevant experience
  • Good knowledge of Accounts Payable and Treasury functions
  • Experience of leading a team with a holistic approach to service delivery; managing change and managing, coaching and developing people.
  • Effective communicator, both verbal and written including negotiation and influencing skills with an ability to handle difficult and/or sensitive conversations and queries appropriately.
  • Able to maximise the use of technology support service delivery.
  • Ability to collate, evaluate, analyse and solve complex problems including change management activities.
  • Ability to deliver effective learning sessions and presentations to a diverse audience.
  • Sound knowledge of electronic purchase order processing systems.
