Description

Volta Trucks, a hypergrowth European Electric Truck Manufacturer, is looking for a Series Project Lead to join our Electrical & Powertrain department
. This is a hybrid role split between our head offices in Reading, remote working and our contract manufacturing partners facility in Austria.

This is a unique opportunity to join an ambitious scale-up where you will have the opportunity to contribute to the manufacturing strategy for a forward thinking, rapidly expanding business.

What you will do:

Manage the departments deliverables in relation to Volta projects in 'live' production phases.
Ensure cross functional alignment with internal stakeholders such as Procurement, SQA, Logistics, Aftersales, Service and Manufacturing teams.
Lead series cost and weight reduction activities on behalf of the Electrical & Powertrain teams (aligned with overall project cost & weight down targets)
Lead the resolution and support of field issues associated with electrical and Powertrain hardware /systems (including warranty data analysis)
Support aftersales and dealership teams (incl. coordination of software update activities)
Maintain continued team support for Volta truck production facilities and the coordination of associated series production deliverables (incl. manufacturing process, parts logistics/supply issues, implementation of software updates)

We would like you to have:

The ability to demonstrate experience of Tier 1 supplier delivery & project management of a major vehicle program with an APQP or similar framework.
Proven track record in an OEM or Tier 1 with a high level of technical knowledge
Minimum of 5 years of experience in automotive, aerospace, or equivalent.
Experience of high volume and niche vehicle (low volume) programmes.
Relevant experience in BEV architecture and complex EE architectures
Sound commercial and financial awareness
Experience managing deliverables across HW and SW domains.
