We're recruiting for a very dynamic, successful & exciting Chester Project Consultancy & we need a well skilled
Accounts Administrator to manage the day to day accounts.


This SME works across Construction & Engineering sectors over several sites & this job is based in their smart Head Office in Chester.


Full time role - in the office 4 days a week & 1 day working from home.


You'll work closely with the Head of Business Management to maintain and advise on financial records and run relevant accounts reports.

Ultimately, you will ensure all financial transactions are processed accurately and on time.


Accounts Administrator duties:

Reviewing and reconciling multiple bank and credit card accounts
Raising monthly sales invoices and chasing customer payments
Processing of purchase invoices and payments
Reconciling the Directors monthly credit card bill
Petty cash handling
Quarterly VAT returns (external Accountant handles this currently but this may change)
Month end / quarterly management reporting to Directors
Preparing accounts in draft, for our external accountant to finalise at year end
Primary point of contact for client / Supplier account
Managing the company smart charge card system (Pleo)
Managing / checking monthly supplier invoices (e.g., water supply, electricity supply, internet) across 3 offices.

Assist with Timesheet Portal configuration, including setting up new projects, closing finished projects and keeping the links with Xero coding up to date.


Accounts Administrator requirements:

Articulate, with well-developed communication skills.
A thorough approach to tackling problems and the ability to work methodically
Self-motivated with strong time management and the ability to prioritise your workload and meet deadlines.
You will be organised with excellent attention to detail.
You will have excellent and proven customer service skills.
You will be an effective team member and strive to ensure the team pulls together to deliver shared goals.


Essential Experience
A minimum of 2 years relevant experience in a similar accounts role is essential.
No accounting qualifications are required however, AAT (or equivalent) qualification is an advantage.
Knowledge of VAT rules is beneficial.
Exposure to Xero is preferred but not essential as training can be provided for this.
Strong communication skills, verbal and written

Salary £25-£28k.40 hr week. Office open from 8am Mon-Fri.**
