Homelessness Support Worker

LOCATION:
Bristol

SALARY:
£ PAYE -£13.55 Umbrella

DURATION:3 months +

HOURS:
Mon Fri - 9am - 5pm - outreach and office based

Are you a proactive mental health Support Worker with a good background in supporting clients that have been longstanding homeless and have experienced drug and alcohol dependences? If so, a support service in central Bristol is looking for a temporary,full time worker to join their friendly team.

Working collaboratively with a team of support workers to manage a caseload of clients across 4 supported projects.

Some day to day duties will include:

Provide floating, tenancy support to a caseload of around 8 -10 clients across Bristol
Help clients to sustain their tenancies, ensure they do not fall into rent arrears, checking post, checking gas meters, health and safety checks, and accessing the correct housing benefits
Support them to attend various appointments such as GP, Dentist, flat viewings etc.
Signpost clients to various external support providers and manage referrals
Liaise with service coordinators in terms of risk management
Liaise with various mental health professionals
