PRIMARY JOB FUNCTION

  • To take responsibility for promoting and safeguarding the welfare of children and young persons / vulnerable adults in your care and those who you come into contact with.
  • Provide a comprehensive and efficient support service to all members of the TYS-YOS Management Team, which includes effective diary management and taking minutes of meetings to a high standard, thus ensuring the service operates effectively and efficiently.
  • To produce and disseminate statistics within deadlines and to a high degree of accuracy.
  • To prepare for and attend court completing relevant administrative tasks as required. To provide effective and timely administrative support for the Court process.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • To manage a secure mailbox in preparation for court, the preparation of reports, attending court and updating monitoring systems/ databases with the court proceedings.
Updating Child View, providing pre sentence packs and liaising with other authoritiesand partners to ensure swift and fair administration of Justice

  • To provide support in the form of data inputting and extraction for the effective management of performance within Targeted Youth Support and
Youth Offending Service through the use of information management

systems, including Child View, the Liquidlogic Children's System (LCS) and other systems such as EHM.


EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE
Significant experience in an administrative role.

Significant experience of providing administrative support to senior level managers including diary management.

Educated to at least GCSE or equivalent with Pass in English language

Experience of minute-taking of formal meetings and producing notes to a high standard

Previous experience of providing a complete administrative service within a court environment


KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS and ABILITY
Displays an awareness, understanding and commitment to the protection and safeguarding of children and young people.

Able to identify potential child protection issues and know what to do with this information


Knowledge and understanding of:

  • London Child Protection Procedures
  • Working Together to Safeguard Children
Experience of working cooperatively and flexibly with others to deliver an effective support service.


Experience of providing support to senior management, to plan and implement projects effectively and to monitor competing demands to meet deadlines.
