A highly competent and experienced Nursery Practitioner is required within a day nursery based in Edgbaston, Birmingham B16.
The nursery is looking for a Nursery Practitioner to provide the best possible care and education, as well as ensuring the environment is safe and secure, where the children are valued as individuals through a loving and child-centred approach.
The nursery will cater for children age 2 to 5 years old and will be a brand new project which is dedicated to providing the highest quality services.
Some of your responsibilities will include:
- To provide and promote a safe, caring and stimulating environment, which caters for the needs of the children and colleagues within the Nursery
- Ensuring children have access to learning opportunities throughout their time at the nursery
- Following policies and procedures, including knowledge of the EYFS framework, thoroughly and appropriately referring any matters of concern to senior staff
- Key children following closely the development and progress of these children, developing strong working relationships with the parents and communicating about the child's development on a daily basis
- Conduct housekeeping duties to support the maintenance of a clean and safe environment for children
- Be responsible for a group of children, ensuring their personal and development needs are met and monitored, through planning, observations and by producing regular reports
- Level 3 qualified in Childcare/Early Years
- Previous experience working within a similar environment
- Working knowledge of health and safety and safeguarding aspects
- Good communication skills
- Ability to work as part of a team
- Ability to liaise with and develop good relationships with parents
