About The Role


As an Employment Coach, on our Restart Scheme you will be supporting individuals to progress into their chosen career paths by providing advice, support and guidance.


Working with participants face to face and via video, you will coach and support their journey to employment by providing employability sessions, interview skills advice, job search methods and re-building participant confidence following a period of unemployment.

You will maintain participant records using the in-house CRM system and record regular contact with your participants, keeping them motivated and focused for the duration of the programme.


Building an up-to-date working knowledge of the local labour market, training opportunities and relevant support agencies is essential for success in the role.

You will get to know the local employers in your community, understanding what they are looking for in an employee and encouraging them to interview your participant.


Duties

  • To build relationships with participants, and through support and advice help them address any barriers to employment.
  • To be able to create lesson plans and appropriate engaging sessions for participants to attend.
  • To maintain participant records in line with the company's standards.
  • To assist participants to plan and progress, in line with their action plans, towards improving their life and employment chances.
  • To meet deadlines and targets as required by the needs of the programme.
  • To use a variety of recruitment techniques to successfully support participants into sustainable employment
  • To accurately maintain relevant IT and administrative systems and produce accurate and timely management information.
  • Be experienced in liaising with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
  • Be target driven
  • Be able to complete paperwork in line with contractual requirements where appropriate.
  • Ability to audit and monitor electronic records.
  • Ability to work under pressure and adhere to multiple deadlines.
  • Have an excellent standard of communication.
Ability to work with trust and autonomy

Role Requirements

  • Own Car and clean full driving licence
  • Able to work some unsociable hours including evening and weekends
  • Managing cohorts and a caseload of learners
  • Experience within a learner engagement or recruitment background

Desirable

  • Experience of working within the welfare to work sector
  • Experience of working with funded contracts

Job Types:
Full-time, Permanent


Salary:
£25,000.00-£28,000.00 per year
