We are currently seeking a highly experienced, self-motivated, and supremely organised and Head of Events to join our Meetings & Events Sales Team.

This role is a fantastic opportunity for anyone wishing to pursue a role in Sales or Events at Gleneagles.

The on target earning potential for this role is £38,000 / annual salary - comprising a base salary of £35,000 plus a qualified estimate of £3,000 in gratuities and service charge.

Here's a bit more detail on what we see you doing in this role:
Responsible for our Event Planning and Admin team, you'll take the lead in allocating events to our planners, ensuring they are fully briefed and set for success
Working closely with our Head of Groups Sales to ensure a one team spirit, you'll ensure our show rounds are expertly conducted and fully in line with our SOP guidelines
Managing daily meetings with your team to run through the briefing sheet, making sure everyone is crystal clear on priorities, outstanding work, and always sharing learning opportunities
Planning ahead, leading monthly departmental planning meetings; weekly events and private dining forecasting with a rolling 3 month plan
Working with your colleagues across the estate and our Townhouse, you'll build strong working relationships, including working with our Culinary team on new menu concepts & pricing
Collaborating with our Events Ops Manager on Project Excellence and leading projects to improve the planning process, you'll be managing multiple workstreams at the same time, balancing competing, and often conflicting, priorities, always with a sharp eye on the needs and priorities of our business
Highly visible with our leaders and organisers, you'll scrutinise events whilst in house and evening functions, meeting and greeting large events and always ensuring the highest standards
Taking huge pride in the accuracy on BEOS, making sure you planners are present at BEO meetings and proactively contributing
Adeptly managing agreements with our suppliers and creating upselling opportunities
Working with our Commercial Development Partner to ensure learning and development plans for your team are bespoke and regularly updated, delegating projects to your team and providing the support they need to achieve deadlines
Interacting with our guests, always warm, professional, helpful, and doing everything you can to exceed their expectations, playing your part in making their stay with us luxurious in every way


The kind of person we're looking for:
You've been managing a luxury hotel Sales or Events team for at least 2 years, with an outstanding track record of customer service success
Proficient in the use of Opera, you're systems savvy and love to share your skills and experience

You like it when your work stands out from the crowd and you make sure you're always one step ahead of industry trends; you've got your finger on the pulse and know what's happening in the neighbourhood.

If something's escaped you, you know how to find out
A natural leader, you're passionate about developing your team; you love to nurture, motivate and develop those around you
You can pat your head and rub your tummy at the same time You can run juggle the complexities of diverse, large scale and demanding events, while also achieving the highest levels of engagement, always exceeding expectations
Energised and fuelled by a high paced operation and equally high expectations, you're resilient, and skilled at managing multiple and often competing priorities
