About the Facilities Department and Your Role


The Facilities team is responsible for maintaining all THG sites, ensuring that all colleagues and visitors are in a clean, safe environment while on site.

The Facilities Technician for THG Experience division will handle the day-to-day maintenance requirements for reactive, quoted and planned tasks.

The post holder will be required to carry out compliance inspections and regulatory inspections against the buildings' infrastructure and on-site assets delivering a high-quality finish appropriate with luxury profile of the site.

The role is multi-skilled, and the post holder will be expected to complete various additional tasks under other disciplines such as, general maintenance, plumbing, building works, fire alarm testing, HVAC and filter cleans.


Responsibilities (clearly linked to KPIs):

  • Perform ongoing preventive maintenance and repair work on facility mechanical, electrical, and other systems
  • Perform small fix and redecorative works, including paining and wallpapering, as well as building repairs, elements of joinery and carpentry to a high quality visual standard
  • Maintain and operate all HVAC systems and associated equipment, electrical equipment, plumbing systems, building management system
  • Maintain and operate a small portfolio of wet leisure facilities including spa pool and steam room and gym equipment
  • Perform temperature monitoring and Legionella compliance related task and duties
  • Perform facility inspections and report on condition affecting operations
  • Escort specialist contractors and work beside them as required.
  • Respond to emergencies;
  • Comply with all safety procedures and requirements
  • Support any afterhours building needs and activities as required;
  • Perform other tasks assigned as requested.
Role Requirements

  • Good literacy and numeracy skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Delivery of excellent customer service
  • Experience of working as a Maintenance Technician, carrying out repairs, fault finding and problem solving within similar, luxury hospitality or leisure environment.
  • Ability to plan ahead.
  • Able to prioritize work and manage their own time
  • Ability to work on own initiative, as well as being a team player, working hand in hand with other departments
- 'Can do' attitude

  • Good level of computer literacy and knowledge of MS Office packages.
  • Relevant mechanical engineering qualification e.g. NVQ, ONC, OND, Engineering would be an advantage
